Happy July! I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend filled with sunshine, good food, family, friends, and maybe a few fireworks.

As most of you know, I live at the Jersey Shore, and around here, the Fourth of July is the real summer kickoff. The island comes alive in a way that only a shore town can. The beach is packed, bikes are everywhere, grills are fired up, kids are running around with sticky popsicle hands, and the smell of sunscreen, bonfires, and backyard BBQs seems to follow you everywhere.

It is also officially the time of year when we stop driving. If we cannot bike there, we probably are not going. At the shore, we would honestly rather ride our bikes in the rain than circle for parking. That is just part of the Jersey Shore summer lifestyle.

This year feels extra special as we begin celebrating America’s 250th birthday. Between the fireworks, the flags, the family gatherings, and the classic summer traditions, it is the perfect reminder of how much we all love having something to look forward to and celebrate together.

And speaking of gathering together, one thing I have been noticing more than ever is that travel is booming.

At BBQs, beach days, pool parties, and family get togethers, people are not just talking about what they are doing this summer. They are talking about where they want to go next. New Years, Spring break, summer 2027, milestone birthdays, anniversary trips, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and multi-generational family vacations are all coming up in conversations right now.

The biggest thing I am seeing? People want to have a trip on the calendar and not just your cookie cutter vacation.

They want something exciting to look forward to. They want time away with their kids, their spouse, their friends, or their extended family. And with prices and availability changing so quickly, planning early is more important than ever!

Here are a few destinations and vacation styles my clients are loving right now:

Cruises for families and groups Cruising continues to be one of the easiest vacation choices for families, multi-generational groups, and friend groups. With entertainment, dining, kids clubs, activities, and multiple destinations included, it is a great way to keep everyone happy without having to plan every little detail yourself. Europe and Mediterranean cruises Europe is having a major moment. Mediterranean cruises are especially popular because they allow you to see multiple destinations without packing and unpacking every few days. Italy, Greece, Spain, and France are some of the most requested places I am seeing.

Alaska cruises Alaska continues to be a bucket-list favorite for families, couples, and multi-generational trips. The scenery, wildlife, glaciers, and unique excursions make it such a special vacation, and the best cabins can go quickly especially for larger families.

All-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean Families and couples are loving the ease of a short stay at an all-inclusive resorts. Once you arrive, your meals, drinks, activities, and entertainment are all wrapped into one vacation experience. Punta Cana, Cancun, Riviera Maya, Jamaica, and Turks and Caicos continue to be favorites.

Adult-only escapes Couples trips, milestone birthdays, and girls getaways contiue to grown in popularity. People want to spend time with together and socialize in groups more than even. Adult-only resorts and cruise lines like Virgin Voyages are perfect for travelers who want great food, beautiful spaces, fun nightlife, and a vacation that feels a little more elevated.

Disney and Universal vacations Theme park vacations are still going strong, especially with families planning around school breaks. Disney Cruise Line and Epic Universe are big requests right now.
